In our neighbor's yard, she loves to sit on the sidewalk and say Hi to the owl and pumpkin and the other yard art. Reese will pat the sidewalk next to her for Jeff or me to sit next to her. And if she could, she'd get Griswald to sit next to her too.

This was at the doctors office while we were waiting to be seen. We weren't sure what was wrong, but Jeff was pretty sure I had pulled Reese's arm out of socket. Just so you know, I was changing her diaper and like always I pull her up by her hands while she is laying down. This time didn't go so well. I didn't feel or hear anything, but after I pulled her up she started to cry and did so off and on for 20 or so minutes. Our doctor's office was open for about another 30 minutes (it was on a Saturday), and we made it just in time. We've been shown how to put it back in place, since they said it may happen again. So learn from my lesson, careful when pulling or swinging your kiddos by the arms.

This is her after the fact, as soon as it was popped back into place she was a 100% better. And a popsicle helped the emotional healing :)

Well I don't have a picture for you, but I am sure you can create one as I tell you the story. So we went to lunch at Chic-fil-a today. Reese and I, Tara and my dad. We met some friends there, had a nice time, expect Reese did not like the cow walking around. She waved at her first and then when she got closer Reese began to cry. She then kept a look out for the cow and would cry when she saw her on the other side of the restaurant. After we drop Dad back at the his house we head home. As I pull into our subdivision Reese begins to cry out and I turn to look at her and say were almost home and she begins to vomit, oh my heart sank. It kept coming, so I slammed on the brakes, threw the car in park, and hopped in the back seat. Once she was done I put her highchair cover over her so she didn't mess with the yuck. Tara then kept her hands busy until we got home.
Needless to say it was a mess, and I learned how to take the car seat apart so it could be cleaned. If you are wondering Reese is feeling fine, I guess something didn't settle so well. She hasn't had much more to eat today, so we'll see about tomorrow. I hope you enjoyed our story.

P.S. Thank goodness for the seat cover for my car, no mess on my leather!

In Banana Republic waiting on Dad to try on cloths.

So we went to the mall on Valentine's day as a family and Reese was so good while we shopped. And we it was time to leave it was raining so Jeff ran to get the car and then picked Reese and I up at the front. I just hopped in the front seat with her and we pulled around and park so we could buckle her in properly, just in case anyone was wondering. Of course before we buckled her in she had to "drive" some. As you can see she was loving it. So cute, but she can take her sweet time on getting behind the wheel and driving for herself. We are in no hurry for that!

So Reese loves to climb up on her walker and in doing so she busted her lip for the first time. It wasn't too bad, but she did it twice in the same day. So in order for me to put something cold on her mouth I gave her a cold, wet rag and she chewed on it. She's had a few other bumps since then, but she's a trooper.

Our little girl loves to walk along the furniture and now climb over things in her way. She was really enjoying herself. She likes to try to open the drawer on the side table. I have a feeling she'll be climbing out of her crib in no time, what will I do!

So I started table foods for Reese and she loved bananas so why not start there. First she wasn't sure what to do with them, but then she figured it out and enjoyed it. But two days later I get a call from her allergist and the allergy test results tell us she's allergic to bananas. So no more bananas. And we also found out wheat, oats, milk, egg whites, and peas were also on the list. So needless to say our table foods have become limited. She loved her puffs but they have wheat. A few days later my mom reminded me of how we use to give her oatmeal baths and soaked her for 15 minutes. No wonder her skin was so irratated. We live and we learn! I am now on the hunt for snack foods, crakers and cereals that she can eat. I may have found some online and I'll have to order them, or I may try whole foods first. Anyways, just another day in the life of Reese D Ford. Isn't she cute!!!!

We went to Midland for 5 days recently, Jeff had to work in Odessa, and we stayed with Jeff's sister, Kim, her husband Joe and son Turner. This is Reese's first time to swing, Turner hung it up for her. She enjoyed it.

We are heading back from Alabama in these pictures. Reese did really well on the road. The 8 hour trip took us 11 because of traffic and other people's accidents. She was out of her car seat here because of a wreck and enjoying sitting with her Grandma. We were stopped for almost an hour, so I fed her and changed her diaper and she played some. She was enjoying the freedom. All in all the traveling wasn't so bad, but next time I am flying!

We spent the weekend in Austin for our friends, Hope and Shama's wedding. It was gorgeous and Jeff officiated part of the ceremony! He did a wonderful job! . We stayed at The Driskill, very nice hotel. We set the expectations high for Reese, now, I'm not sure if any other hotel will do.

I laid her down on this Fabulous Fur with fur side down b/c she was trying to chew on it, and she ended up rolling her self in it.

Ready for the wedding(she didn't attend though, past her bedtime), but we got some cute pictures. I saw this mini sitting area by the elevators and had to get her picture there.

Without power and before the window units we were a little stuffy in the house. Jeff slept on the sleeping back half on the tile (to keep cooler) and half on the carpet. Reese was in her pac n play until early morning then I put her on the floor and slept near by. Our downstairs living area was where we hung out for those 13 days. We camped in our on living room!

Surviving Hurricane Ike

So, we survived and finally got power back 13 days after the hurricane. We were very lucky to get a generator from a friend and our neighbor is an electrician so he hooked it up to our breaker so we could run what ever we wanted. However we didn't run much b/c of the gas use! Jeff had a brilliant idea and bought a window unit for our bedroom and we were given the other one. It worked really well keeping it "cool" in the house. Reese and I would leave during the hotter parts of the day and come home early evening to get the generator started. I don't think we are going to sit the next one out, I'll be leaving before it gets here!

Well we found out Reese is highly allergic to dogs so there is no more floor time with Griswald. He is currently staying with my sister, and we are going to see if her eczema clears up and then bring Gris back for a trial run. We really don't want him gone, so this is very hard. Don't let her fool you, she likes being wrapped up but once we start the lotion process it gets a bit ugly, she does not like it. Currently we have three creams/oitments that we put on her for ecezma. These are the smiles right before the tears.

On July 13,2008 we dedicated Reese to the Lord at our church. Both of our families were there, friends too! It was a really nice service. I pray that she grows up seeing an example of Christ in our lives and that she will want to love Him as we do. We are truly blessed to have such a healthy, beautiful baby girl. God is good.
